In the morning of June 18th president Joseph Kabila was immortalized in the city of Kindu (Maniema) by unveiling a bronze statue of himself. The statue has reportedly been created by the artist known as Liyolo.
The statue reportedly served as a token of appreciation from the interim governor of Maniema and his constituency. The unveiling seemed to be the last stop for president Kabila after he went back to the capital.
A day earlier the President went to the Mapon University and gave the students some advices mainly adhering to discipline, attendance and patriotism.
